Short- Term Capacity building program for the Existing Workforce in Machine Maintenance and Occupational Safety & Hazards

In the Adityapur Industrial Area, the major manufacturing processes involved are foundry, forging, different types of machining processes (like rolling milling, turning etc), and metal fabrication processes. All these processes characterized by high-risk environment, due to the usage of heavy machinery, high temperature, and hazardous materials which pose significant risks to workers, including burns, respiratory issues, and physical injuries. The aim of this intervention to generate awareness among the workers to learn safe work practices and gain the knowledge and skills to prevent or mitigate accidents, reducing the severity of injuries when they occur. Effective safety training can significantly reduce accident rates after implementing comprehensive safety training programs. Consistent safety training and a commitment to a safe work environment are essential for achieving substantial accident reduction.
