About SIDBI Cluster Intervention Program
In a bid to boost MSME cluster development, the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has launched various initiatives focused on cluster development under its developmental ambit. The following clusters are included in the Cluster Intervention Program.
The cluster development strategy of SIDBI has gradually evolved over a period and it now caters to over 600 MSME clusters through its offices and supports the entire value chain. The holistic aim of the intervention is to strengthen the clusters to evolve as model clusters and also to increase MSMEs’ access to services thus making the supply chain more competitive.
About Adityapur Automotive Cluster
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) units in the Adityapur automotive cluster are contributing significantly to the growth of the automotive sector in India. With a total turnover of around INR 50,000 crore and more than 1500 units are involved in the manufacturing of auto components, ancillary products, and fabrication of various automotive parts and contributing significantly in ‘Make in India’ initiative, reducing the import of auto components, and strengthening the domestic supply chain. Furthermore, the cluster is also involved in the development of new technologies and innovations in the field of automotive manufacturing and closely with automotive OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to develop products that meet international quality standards and contributing significantly to the domestic supply chain, providing employment opportunities, and aiding in the development of the local economy.
